Music probably has the strongest influence on people all across the world. Throughout time, music has started and ended wars, marked the age of freedom and all around has made peoples lives more intricate. In this era of popular music success thrives on positivity and promotion of good "vibes". Artists are being paid by companies to mesh their ideas and creative positivity with their products . This tactic has been working for years and continues to work today. For example, the social media app "snapchat" has been taken over by the world famous DJ, DJ Khaled. DJ Khaled has worked with the biggest names in music throughout his career like Kanye West, Jay Z and the list goes on. On snapchat he yells and talks about success and what "keys" it takes to be successful and unlock that door to victory. DJ Khaled, now promotes Ciroc in advertisements and in his music. He tells everyone that the "key to success" is to live healthy and happy. He wants people to eat good food and drink lots of water as well as ignore all your haters and focus on getting to the money. While very entertaining, DJ Khaled has worked his way up to the top of the food chain in the public eye.
The Miami New Times
Even newer artists like Lil Yachty have sponsorships from companies like sprite in collaboration wth basketball player Lebron James. Lil Yachty is only 19 years old. This proves that the age limit at which you can have a sponsor does not matter as well. This is the reason that conspiracy theories are made up about artists and how they do deals with the devil. Ultimately, money controls everything. If an artists sees an opportunity to get more money through sponsorship, why wouldn't that take it.
